Tailored from a purple silk kimono. The crest on the chest was kept from the original garment. The front panels were cut so that the crest remains positioned on the left side, just as it was before. Silver-toned rats and bamboo leaves climb one sleeve and reappear on the hem of the opposite side, preserving the flow of the design as it appeared on the kimono. Features ribbed cuffs and a black zipper.
Only one piece made from a single kimono. Every item is unique in its pattern, drape, and texture. A relaxed fit with a cropped length. Being made of pure silk, it is incredibly lightweight.
