Tailored from a Kuro-tomesode, a kimono traditionally worn by married women at relatives' weddings. The two crests on the chest remain in their original positions. The gold-leaf designs of the ox-drawn carriage, chrysanthemums, and maple leaves from the hem have been moved to one of the sleeves. The rest is left in its original black, preserving the sense of open space the tomesode once held.
One garment from a single kimono. No two are alike in pattern, drape, or texture. It features a loose fit with a shorter length. As it is made of pure silk, it has a very light finish.
