Sashiko Zip Jacket | Black
The structure of a work jacket, quietly rebuilt in black sashiko.
Heavyweight black sashiko, cut into a collared zip jacket. A chest patch pocket, welt pockets at each hip, and a clean boxy silhouette. Throw it on and the everyday sharpens up.
The familiar details of a work jacket, reassembled in black sashiko cloth.
A small collar sits above a metal two-way zip. A square patch pocket is set on the chest, and horizontal welt pockets at each hip are easy to slide your hands into. The back is kept plain, with a single seam running down the center, and a wide hem band holds the shape of the body.
The cut is boxy and slightly cropped. With relaxed shoulders and room through the body, it sits just as well thrown over a T-shirt as it does layered over a knit.
The thick sashiko feels firm the moment you put it on, but with every wear it softens and settles into the way you move. Wear it as an outer layer in spring and autumn, and under a coat in winter, for a long stretch of the year.
